ELM Trio 5 - Guzzlers 2 |
We took on The Guzzlers and though we scored higher than we did the previous two weeks, we weren't able to pull off another sweep. We won the first two games rather handily but the Guzzlers got hot at the end and took the third game. We earned the point for total pinfall and a record of 5-2 for the evening.
Our second half record improved to 52-32 which should help us in the standings. The first and second place teams played each other but I wasn't able to learn the outcome before I left. I hope they split with the second place team having the 4-3 edge. That would allow us to gain two points on the leader and one point on the second place team.

It's pretty interesting that after bowling 87 games, Eli and I have knocked down almost the same number of pins. It's a difference of only 16.
ReplyDeleteI'm meeting Roberto of the Guzzlers at Castro Village Bowl today at 5:30 for some practice. I have a Storm Virtual Gravity Nano Pearl for him to try. His teammate Marcus may join us. I hope you can make it out too, Eli.
ReplyDeleteThe practice went really well. Roberto tried the Nano and a Roto Grip Defiant for a few games before settling on the Nano. We bowled five games with his score going up each time. In the last game he broke the 200 ceiling for the first time with a 214. I think he'll be happy with that Storm Nano. It's going to give him the hook and power that 13 pound plastic ball was never going to bring.
ReplyDeletethat's very interestion
